Islam, a mysterious religion, having more than 1.6 billion followers around the world , and its followers called Muslim.
However, for such a large group, in fact, we still have a lot of misunderstandings.
At the first day of Muslim`s dignified month -- Ramadan, let`s walk into them.
“Islam” is an Arabic translation, which means "peace".
Islam is one of the world's three major religions, there are more than 1.6 billion followers around the world. Islam is not a religion of one certain nation, the belief has nothing to do with bloodline , Isam is not only belong to the Arab or any other nations. Islam is a worldwide religion, there are the Chinese Muslim and French Chinese muslims. If a person follows Islam, it cannot said that he betrayed the nation, he just choose a new belief.
Actually, it`s basically opposite.
Muslims think that Pig is filthy, dirty and lazy, which the Koran teaches muslims to stay away from in life habits, so muslims are prohibited to eat or raise Pig with the purpose of being pure.
In addition, Tiger, Wolf, Leopard, eagles, snakes and other fierce animals are also prohibited to eating , as well as the found dead animals. The reason is staying away of impurity.
So, eat no pork is just a habit of religion , which deserves enough respect and understanding.
First of all, the definition of halal food does not mean "foods contain no pork ".
The Islam believe that : human beings are just the agent of the earth, but not the master. So wantonly slaughtering animals is not allowed, while the necessary slaughtering , the name of Allah must be recited.
So, what is the difference between reciting and non-reciting? That`s the question who does not believe in Isam may asks. But for devout musilims, beef and mutton which was slaughtered without reciting the name of Allah can not be eaten.
The first thing we should clear is : Doctrine and Believer are two different concepts, can not be mixed up. The individuals who make extreme behaviors should take the responsibility themselves. The whole group should not to be blamed. That is applicable to any organization.
There must exist both good and bad people in any religious, national, area, and the proportion of good people will definitely larger than the bad people.
We can't deny the the dedication of the good people because of the someones` bad behaviors.
The Koran does allow men to marry four wife at most, but the premise is obtained the approval of the existing wife (wives), and obey to the principle of equal treatment. Muslim`s wives are not living in a single house, according to the principle of equal treatment, if you give one wife a gift, you should also give the other wives gifts of the same value; if you buy a house for one wife, then you should also buy house of the same value for the other wives gifts. Preference for one wife is not allowed. To obey the principle of equal treatment is very difficult in fact, especially in modern society, the cost of marrying several wives is considerable.
In fact, the appearance of polygamy has historical reasons,. Due to expansion of the Arab empire during the middle ages, the frequent wars brought up the dead rate of men, far more men died than women. So, the widows who wanted to stay alive had to find someone to rely on even though the men had wife already,and the men also had pity on the widows and orphans.
Some Arabic men had more than ten wives at that time, but then the Koran added limitation of four.
Maybe you`re a Non-religious person or a believer of other religous, but that do not bother us to show some understandings to a positive and brilliant belief with respect.
Let`s say"Salam" to those kind-hearted people of Muslim!
