Since the holding of Rio Olympic Games, we have been cheered by the thrilling sports competitions. However, in another region of the world, people are still suffering from wars.

Aleppo, is a Syrian city where Syrian government troops, rebel militias and armed forces are constantly fighting. In recent weeks, the battles in Aleppo have been escalating. As a result, it became really hard for the 2 million residents to get access to food and water.

During the war, the photo of a 5-year-old boy survived from an airstrike, Omran, has been circulating on social media around the world. In the photo, he looks dazed as he sits on a seat, covered in dust, the left side of his face bloody. “He was in extreme shock, and so scared that he wasn’t even able to cry.” According to a medical worker. Having been rescued, he just sat on the seat and tried to wipe the blood on his head.

Fortunately, the doctor who treated Omran told BBC reporters later that the boy had reunited with his families, who all miraculously survived.
Wars are too brutal for children.
The fear and helplessness in their eyes are just heart-wrenching. They should have been growing up under the care of their parents and going to school like a normal kid, whereas the wars have separated them from their families, driven them from homes and taken away their access to food and water. Wars not only destroy one’s home and dream, but also deprive one of the right to live.

Let’s wish for a better world where there’s only peace and no more war.
