Those who offer points for others for more than two times:
Driving license revoking, 15-day detention, and a 2,000-5,000RMB penalty. Worse still, driving license retest is also forbidden within 5 years.
Cover The License Plate
According to the new rules, if drivers cover, deface or pick off license plate, or leave no license plate on car deliberately will suffer from a 12-point deduction!
Also, the drivers can only get back their driving licenses after 7-day driving study and passing driving tests.
A degradation of type A/B driving license.
A suspension of driving license (all types).
Drunk Driving
Punishment for drunk driving: a 12-point deduction, a license degradation, a 6-month license suspension, and a 1,000-2,000RMB penalty.
Moreover, it takes 5 more years for a driver to get type A1 driving license, while 3 more years to get type A2/A3 driving license.
Worse still, driver will be forbidden to drive for a lifetime if someone commits crimes during drunk drinking.
Overspeed Driving
Driving 20% faster than the regulated speed on urban roads, while 50% faster on expressway or other non-urban roads will result in a violation penalty for 12 points.
This rule applies for drivers in sedans, buses, school buses and transport vehicles.
A 12-point Deduction Means?
A 12-point deduction for the 1st time:
License revoking
It means that you have to restudy theoretical driving knowledge and pass the theoretical test to get license back!
A 12-point deduction for the 2nd time:
License revoking; road retest
If you have a 24-point deduction (or >24 points ) within a year, you not only have to restudy driving knowledge, but also pass all the road retests to get your license back!
