May 27th, 2017,
here comes the Ramadan.
The devout muslims from all around the world are going to start a fast which would lasts for a month! During the 30-day fast, Muslims can′t eat or even drink from the Suhoor in the morning till the sunset, everyday.

Smoking, sexual life and dirty words are prohibited in Ramadan; Muslims are encouraged to show their mercy by sharing and helping the poor.
The meaning of Ramadan is more likely an opportunity for Muslims to practice self-control and purify themselves than a completion of religious obligation.

Aunt Guli enjoyed the Suhoor with her families quietly and finished the fasting ritual, then they started the fast.
Linxia is one of the areas which has the highest concentration of Muslims, the strongest islamic style and the most developed Islamic culture in China.

Mr.Wahid, wearing a small hat and white Muslim robe, was reading the Koran intently after the Suhoor. This was only his first pray in a day. A Devout Muslims would pray five times a day.
Generally, Muslims would not buy foods in the daytime in Ramadan. But thanks to many Han customers in Hami, Mr.Abdul′s income didn′t decline obviously. Some customers, Muslim or non-Muslim would say “Salaam” to him for greeting.
At that moment, Mr.Abdul felt happy as a Muslim.

His employees are minorities but his customers cover widely.
To his surprise, what he worried about didn’t happen at all. The employees who was on fasting worked even more actively. Mr.Yerlan was deeply moved by their devotion and diligence.
He came out from the metro and took a hundreds-meter walk, then arrived at the mosque. Despite sweating profusely, he never stop his way to his faith.

This was just a piece of a moment about an ordinary housewife′s life in the Ramadan, ordinary but real.

Ramadan is not a simple sum of
thirty-day′s fast.
For Muslims,
Ramadan is a chance to verify their faith,
and the faith is their lifetime practice.
