Recently, a plastic exporter intended to export their products from China to Denmark. Unfortunately, their products were detained by Denmark Customs because of the lack of "MADE IN CHINA" label, even though the exporter had the Certificate of China Origin!
As a result, Customs clearance was finished until the exporter paid a penalty and labeled "MADE IN CHINA" on their products!
Why not Certificate of Origin?
Certificate of Origin is a documentation used as an original manufacturer’s proof in Customs clearance.
Country of Origin Label (C/O Label) is a kind of identification labeled on the product.
Both Certificate of Origin and C/O Label are needed for export now, due to stricter Customs policies in many countries.
Why "MADE IN CHINA"?
The O/C Label is something common and necessary on foreign trade products when clear Customs. But in the past, the policy was not so strict as now.
Under stricter Customs clearance policies, products without "MADE IN CHINA" will be detained and withdrew, which will result in delayed delivery and bad reputations of your company!
Moreover, a clear label of original manufacturer has more likely to bring a sense of security to customers and build trust!
Requirements
In case of cargo detainment or extra cost, O/C Labels are needed no matter:
❶ Cargoes are in any kind or any location of warehouses.
❷ Cargoes are delivered via express or other special shipping lines.
❸ Cargoes or their outer containers.
Tips
❷ Make a seal with a sign "MADE IN CHINA" on it, then stamp it directly on product packages on your own.
(If there are a large amount of products, it is not suggested to do so actually.)
❸ Print “MADE IN CHINA” together with the SKU number.
❹ For the size of the O/C Label is not required, so, to save money and time, just a tiny label is OK!
