Urgent Notice of Work Permit Extension
According to the PRC on Administrative Permission, If your work permit expiring date is less than 30 days, you can not renew it with the same employer (the system will automatically block it).
That means, since February 28 in 2018, work permit extension application must be submitted 30 days before visa validity. If overdue, the application will be unavailable and the applicant shall apply for another new work visa.

China Launches New Green Card
China has launched a reform of Permanent Residence Certificates For Foreigners, making the certificate more acceptable and recognizable by the public just like Chinese citizens' identity cards, the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) announced in April.
The MPS official said that local governments would use the Permanent Residence Certificate reform as a starting point for the introduction of other policies for foreigners.

According to the news made by Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of China, since Mar 13th 2017, the Invitation Letter of Duly Authorized Unit and Confirmation Letter of Invitation are no longer needed when foreigners apply for Chinese Z-Visa in Chinese Embassy.

According to the latest notice from Exit & Entry Administration Department of Public Security of GZ, only after filling out the Registration Form of Temporary Residence For Visitors from Municipal Public Security Bureau in GZ can a foreigner apply for or extend GZ Z-Visa.

New Version of
Foreign Working Permit In China
The Reform Office of the State Council has announced that the Alien Employment Permit and the Foreign Experts Working Permit In China would be integrated into one certificate -- the Foreign Working Permit In China.
According to the notification, the "Integrate Two Certificate Into One" policy has come into effect gradually since Jan 2017. If you want to get the new version of the Foreign Working Permit In China, you need to go to Municipal State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA).
