
A strong 7.3-magnitude earthquake has rattled the border region between Iran and Iraq, killing more than one hundred people last Sunday.
At least 129 people have died in weatern Iran's Kermanshah provience. Four More people have been reported dead in Iraq. The death toll is likely to rise.

The earthquake sparked panic, with locals fleeing their homes to the streets.
Damage was reported in at least eight villages. "Some villages suffered power
cut and their telecommunication system were disturbed." an official said.
Rescue teams were being hampered by landslides.

The quake hit 19 miles southwest of Halabja, near the northwestern border with Iran. It occured at depth of 33.9km, and tremors were felt in Israel, Turkey.
The quake has done significant damage across Iranian provinces bordering Iraq.
Over 20 Iranian villages in the area have been damaged, with power and water disruptions widespread.
