According to the country’s regulation, all enterprises registered in China before October 1st, 2015, need to change their old version of business license into a new one with the Unified Social Credit Code.
However, since January, 1st, 2018, the old version of business license will be unavailable! So change a new business license as soon as possible within this year!
All enterprises registered in the commerce bureau before October 1st, 2015 must change their old version of business licenses into new ones with Unified Social Credit Codes.
According to the bureau, after the last day of 2017 (Dec. 31st), original business licenses without Unified Social Credit Codes will be invalid.
In the last month of 2017, old version of business licenses are still available. But after that, Certificate of Organization Code and other old version of registration certificates will be unavailable.
Q：Why "Unified Social Credit Code"?
A: Unified Social Credit Code is the permanent identification number of each legal person and the company. The code consists of 18 digits:
code of registration administration (1 digit),
code of organization category (1 digit),
administration division code (6 digits),
organizing institution (principle identification) code (9 digits),
check code (1 digit)
Q：What about "3 in 1" or "5 in 1" certificate?
A：If you already have the "3 in 1" certificate with a social credit code, or the "5 in 1" certificate, then you don’t need to change another new license.
Q：What about enterprise in bankruptcy or the license revoked?
A：If business license has been revoked or enterprise has announced bankruptcy, you should go through the cancellation formalities instead of changing a new license.
Q：Are the registration formalities different from before?
A：Conditions, dealing procedures, application documents and the license types of business registration for normal enterprise, Farmers professional cooperative, individual business are the same as before.
Q：Any extra fee?
A：It it free for business registration and license changing.

A：You can search for your company’s information via National Enterprise Credit Information Publicity System or Guangzhou Commercial Affairs Information Publicity System.
