Chinese New Year or 'Spring Festival' is China's most important festival and holiday. This CNY falls on Friday, February 16th 2018, beginning a year of the Dog.
CNY is celebrated by a quarter of the world! Spring Festival is a major holiday in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, and in many of China's neighboring countries such as Singapore and South Korea. And it's celebrated in the world's many China towns.

World-class Light Concert Show
The 2018 Guangzhou Light Concert Show will kick off at Haixinsha Asian Olympic Games Park, staging a breathtaking world-class light concert show.
At the South Square of Huacheng Square, there will be fortune trees, flower terraces in intricate designs, trees decorated with illuminations and peach blossom themed post office. Live concerts will be staged in the square with the magnificent night view of CBD Guangzhou as the backdrop.
Liede Bridge will be decorated with new lights.
A 7-meter-high bud statue will be placed at Huacheng Square.

Known as "Flower city" reputation of the Guangzhou Spring Festival flower market has always been the highlight of the Cantonese welcoming the spring festival. A carnival of the Cantonese. It not only presents the ancient Chinese New Year customs of the people in LingNan area, but also a business card to promote the image of the Guangzhou city.

Spring Festival Float Parade
Outside the Tianhe Sports Center, a float parade will make its debut in Guangzhou during the holiday. The floats will primarily be furnished with seasonal flowers, vividly displaying Guangzhou as a flower city and serving visitors arich visual feast. An exhibition of floats will also be held at the Tianhe Sports Center.

The Aquatic Flower Market is the first flower market at the LiZhiWan. It has been successfully held five sessions.Growers may carry their own flowers then sell along the rivers and lakes in the boat or along the embarkment displaying all kinds of flowers.
