
In order to further facilitate Chinese and foreign personnel exchanges, China has decided to expand the scope of visa-free countries, and from November 30, 2024 to December 31, 2025, China has granted unilateral visa-free access to nine more countries.
Nine Countries
These include Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Malta, Estonia, Latvia and Japan, whose nationals can enjoy the visa-free policy if they hold a regular passport.
At the same time, China has decided to optimize its entry policy simultaneously, including exchange visits as the reason for visa-free stay, and extend the visa-free stay period from the current 15 days to 30 days.
So far, China has implemented unilateral visa-free travel for travelers holding ordinary passports from 38 countries.

Since the beginning of this year, China has signed visa exemption agreements with six countries: Singapore, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Antigua and Barbuda, Georgia and Solomon Islands.
