Starting from July 1st, 2018, China's new train operation diagram will be put into effect. Guangzhou residents will enjoy new bullet train services to Xiamen.
Guangzhou East
Stops for the new D2383/D2382 route will be as follows:
Xiamen/厦门 (07:23) -- Chaoshan/潮汕 (08:53) -- Puning/普宁 (09:23) -- Huizhou South/惠州南 (10:32) -- Dongguan/东莞 (11:32) -- Guangzhou East/广州东 (12:08)
Guangzhou East/广州东 (12:32) -- Xiamen/厦门 (17：42)
The trip from Guangzhou to Xiamen will take about 5 hours and 10 minutes on the new route. Prices for first class and second class tickets will be RMB 372.5 and RMB 255 respectively.
Meanwhile, high-speed train services linking Guangzhou and Fuzhou will be launched on July 2nd, 2018.
Guangzhou South
Stops for the new G1609/G1608 route will be as follows:
Fuzhou/福州 (08:16) -- Xiamen North/厦门北 (09:53) -- Chaoshan/潮汕 (11:23) -- Puning/普宁 (11:51) -- Houmen/鮜门 (12:39) -- Shenzhen North/深圳北 (13:35) -- Humen/虎门 (13:57) -- Guangzhou South/广州南 (14:16)
Guangzhou South/广州南 (15:01) -- Xiamen North/厦门北 (19:21)
It will take about 4 hours and 20 minutes to travel from Guangzhou South to Xiamen North on that new high-speed train route. Prices for business class, first class, and second class tickets will be RMB 739.5, RMB 387.5, and RMB 254.5 respectively.
