According to the latest approval from the state council of China, since June 1, 2015, China will reduce the customs tariffs of part of the clothing, shoes, boots, skin care product, diapers and other consumer goods, the average dropped is more than 50%!
In this adjustment, the customs tariffs of suits, fur clothing will be reduced from 14%-23% to 7-10%, the customs tariffs of short boots, sport shoes will reduce from 22-24% down to 12%, the customs tariffs of diapers will reduce from 7.5% to 2%，and the customs tariffs of skin care products will reduce from 5% to 2%.
In 2014, the Chinese outbound number exceeded 100 million, the consumption abroad is more than 1 trillion RMB. In 2013, Chinese import and export market of online shopping was more than 80 billion RMB, the growth rate was 75%. By 2018, the Chinese oversea buyers will be more than 35 million , the scale of the market will reach the level of 1 trillion RMB. Lower the tariffs to improve such huge consumption demand, do contributing significance to the current steady growth.
In order to boost the consumption demand, there still has a lot of space to reduce the tax. Cosmetics, for example, the tariff rate is 10%, and the Consumption Tax rate is as high as 30%, combined with the Value-added Tax of 17% , totally 57% of the sales price is taxes fee! With the development of society and economy, the cosmetics, as well as the skin care product, have become a necessity of ordinary citizens. It is very necessary to timely adjust the consumption tax .
In any case, reducing the customs tariffs has reflected the determination of the country about boosting the consumption and benefiting the citizens. In the near future, our living will get good improvement.
