China Green Card, Much Easier Now!

Recently, the Exit & Entry Administration has announced some policies that benefits the foreigners. Therefore, HACOS has done a lot of research on them, and here we would like to share with you the green-card-related policies.

1. If you has invested in China′s Free Trade Area for 3 consecutive years, with a total investment of over 1 million dollars, then you can apply for the green card in the 4th year.  

In the policy, there are no specific requirements about your company′s tax payment, but there is a regulation that you need to provide certificates of your individual income tax payment.

And it′s mentioned that your company should have stable investments and that it′s operating normally, which means that your company can not make Zero Declaration, and requires normal bank statement and taxations.     

2. If you are a doctorate degree holder employed at a company that′s located in China′s free trade area and you have been working there for at least 4 years, and live in China for at least 6 months each year, then you can also apply for the green card.

3. If you have paid 70,000 yuan′s individual income tax yearly for 4 consecutive years, then you can apply for the green card.

The fact that you need to pay 70,000 yuan′s individual income tax each year, means that your annual salary must more than 400,000 yuan, which means your company needs to generate an annual revenue of 3 million yuan to 4 million yuan.

And that means your company needs to pay much more corporate income tax. But it may depends on certain case, of course. 

4. If you are qualified as a high-level talent, you can apply for a residence permit first, and then apply for a green card 3 years later.
