
June 5th, seven countries (including Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, UAE, Yemen, Libya, Maldives) successively announced that they cut diplomatic relations with Qatar. Meanwhile, they sealed off the borders, cut off roads links, and canceled all the flights and ships to Qatar!

It means transportation with Qatar
would be seriously affected!

As of now, many airlines have stopped receiving any deliveries transported to Qatar, while Qatar also shut down flights to the mentioned seven countries!

DNATA CARGO informed that DXB and DWC would not accept any cargoes delivered to Qatar Doha since 18:00 on June 5th.

Etihad Airways officially announced that they halted flights from Abu Dhabi to Doha since June 6th. The last flight would be EY399/390 in the early morning on June 6th.
Emirates Airlines canceled reservations for each flight after June 6th. The last flight would be in the early morning on June 6th.
As for Qatar Airways, it stopped receiving cargoes from Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain and Egypt. It officially informed that:


The event is in focus by shipping companies, some of which, have raised shipping rates to Qatar, some even indicated that they stopped received cargoes from Qatar!

China COSCO Shipping has stopped space booking with Qatar. Clients are suggested canceling their shipping space booking.

Those who still maintain their shipment levels should submit a letter of guarantee. And close attention should be paid to goods in transit.
APL also declared that since 10th in June, the adjusted shipping rates from China to Qatar would be USD 500/1000/1000 per D20/D40/D40H.
UASC, a shipper in Middle East, also gave the following notice, showing its concern about the event!

Ministry of Transport of Bahrain, Ministry of Information and Communication and Maritime Safety Administration noticed that since June 6th in 2017, water transport with Qatar would suspended.

Freight forwarders and foreign trade companies which intend to deliver cargoes to Qatar need to pay more attention to the latest notices from shipping companies and airlines!

Contact with the shipping companies and airlines as soon as possible if there are any goods in transit, so as to make sure whether the cargoes can be delivered as plan or not.
