Sorts of Goods Are Prohibited Being Exported To This Country!

In order to reduce deficit caused by exporting petroleum and natural gas, Algeria has implemented series of policies on trade protection and set limits on importing products from other countries!

Recently, the government of Algeria announced that the country would stop importing 851 kinds of commodities, meanwhile, increase tariffs of 126 kinds of imported products.

It is reported that the government intends to protect local enterprises and stimulate domestic demand and manufacture.

Prohibited imported products include

Mobile phones, electronic products, furniture, some kinds of vegetable, fruits, meat, cheese, barrelled water, chocolate, some kinds of building materials, etc.

Ministry of Commerce of Algeria requires that any commodity exported to the country should provide the Certificate of Free Marketing in the Country of Origin (which is issued by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT)).

And the L/C can be issued to the exporter after the product being record-filed by Algeria bank.

Necessary documents for CCPIT application

❶ An application form of CCPIT.

❷ A declaration form concerning detailed information of commodity and HS Code.

❸ The original Quality Certification and its photocopy.

❹ If there is a trademark, Trademark Registration Certificate and Brand Authorization are needed. 

❺ Exact name of factor must be written under the item of “Producer” in the form, and Business License, Production License and Purchases&Sales Contract are also needed. 

❻ Sales contract signed with consignee.

How to inquire Algeria Customs tariffs?

❶ Input and search the HS Code of the commodity.

❷ Input the first two numbers of HS Code, then select the general type of commodity. And conduct the following search work by inputting the next two number.

❸ Input keywords.
