We all have known much information about Guangzhou–Shenzhen–Hong Kong Express Rail Link (XRL), such as the journey time, rail sites or train fare, etc. Now it is comfirmed to start a trial operation on april 1!
Two different train sets – Hexie Hao (simplified Chinese: 和谐号; traditional Chinese: 和諧號; pinyin: Héxié Hào; literally: "Harmony Express") and Vibrant Express (traditional Chinese: 動感號; simplified Chinese: 动感号) are the designation for rolling stock operated on this railway link.
High-speed railway is very fast, so as XRL. Beijing-Hong kong only took nine hours by XRL. But how fast it is when compared with the other means of transportation? We’ll see.

Current intercity trains
Hong Kong (Hung Hom) – Guangzhou (East): 1 hour and 53 minutes
Hong Kong (Hung Hom) – Shanghai: 20 hours
Hong Kong (Hung Hom) – Beijing (West): 24 hours

with additional border checks (Hong Kong-side and China-side) and change at Luohu (Shenzhen Metro)

The surperiority of XRL is absolutely obivous.In a manner of speaking XRL would be the best way to arrive and depart Hong Kong.

Some Extra Ways
There are still some extra ways to Hong Kong. With unique advantages of each approach, you can choose the favorite one but not the fastest one.
Passenger Ship
Journey time 1 hour and 40 minutes (180 yuan)
Guangzhou Whart Lotus hill port, Panyu Nansha port passenger terminal
Hong Kong Whart Macau ferry terminal(Sheung Wan ), China Hong Kong City ( near Tsim Sha Tsui Harbour city) and HK Airport.
Advantages For those who be fond of sea and ship, or be fed up with land transporation, passenger ship will be a good choice to feel some difference of journey. By the way, it is faster than bus. Immigration clearance only needed ten minutes.
Notice The air ticket, visa and passport must be showed before ticket purchase.

Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge
(not available currently)
Journey Time about 2 hours (bridge toll 150 yuan)
Advantages Self-driving is more comfortable to afford more convenience. You can stay a place as you want or go to the scenic spot easily. If the weather is bad, it would be better to drive a car to Hong Kong.
Notice Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge is not available now but anticipate to operate before July 1, 2018.
