We see lot of Indian-Chinese Couples around us but mostly they are Indian men married with Chinese girl. So when we noticed story of XiaoFu (Chinese Name) documented by CCTV for series Foreigners In China, we thought about sharing with our all readers.
She is from New Delhi, India and currently lives in Beijing with her family. Story is documented in two parts (both videos over 26 minutes long but definately worth watching)
In first part Xiaofu with her husband and son visit her husband's hometown in Hubei to celebrate chinese new year. She teaches her son not just Indian Culture but also Chinese Culture together. She makes Indian milk tea for her parents-in-law and also try to help them with daily work. She has been vegetarian all her life like many indians.
Part-1
(Chinese New Year Trip）
XiaoFu teaches her son to touch feet of all elders according to Indian culture to pay respect. She also try her hand on dragon dance. She try to help her father in law at field and also mother in law for cooking.
She dances with her family in bonfire for chinese new year, just as she would do for indian festivals. She is not only a good mother and wife but also very caring daughter in law.
Second part of video show their daily life. After marriage in 2016, they opened an indian restaurant in Beijing. Hongjun even resigned and concentrated his mind on their business. Unluckily, they go bankrupt with loads of loan.
Xiaofu now works at Kindergarten as teacher and her husband works for company dealing in rare earth material. Their daily life have changed, now they try to save money wherever possible.
They are now both working hard to pay off their debts, She used to go Indian restaurants often for meal but now she try to avoid eating out to save money.
Part-2
(Daily Life)
Even during these diffcult times Hongjun try his best to keep Xiaofu happy.
She still have positive attitude towards life and hope that some day in future she will realize her dream to open and run indian restaurant successfully again.
They still live a happy life irrespective of all the challenges and we wish them lot of happiness.
