Fingerprint Verification is Required
In order to ensure safety of the endorsement, mainland Chinese residents who renew their Exit-Entry Permit for Traveling to and from Hong Kong and Macau are required to pass fingerprint verification.
Resident can begin the renewal procedures after his or her fingerprint is recognized.
This means that agency is not allowed. Applicants need to do this all by theirselves.
It Takes a Week for Approval
Since September 1, residents should plan ahead for the renewal application.
It takes 7 weekdays for approval for applicants with a Shenzhen household registration, and 10 weekdays for applicants who hold household registration from other places.
