Happy Spring Festival!
The fourth day of Chinese New Year, also called “Sheep Day”, is a day for Chinese people to welcome the gods. In the old emperor’s calendar, the “three sheep (yang) Kaitai” is often a symbol of good fortune, but also a day to welcome the kitchen god back to the people. People hope they can live in plenty and the country becomes prosperous.
It is also the beginning of Spring, the first one of China’s 24 solar terms, which symbolizes warmth, growth and revival. Spring breeze is blowing in the happiness, and everyone wears a smile.
