不久前，中国政府决定将入境隔离时间从“14+7”缩短至“7+3”，这对于很多意向来华的朋友无疑是一个好消息。

Not long ago, the Chinese government decided to shorten the quarantine period from "14+7" to "7+3" in term of inbound personnel. It is undoubtedly good news for many friends who intend to come to China.

昨日，中疾控就入境人员隔离管控时间为何调整为“7+3”这一问题作了回应。

Yesterday, China CDC responded to the question of why it was adjusted to "7+3".

据中国疾控中心传防处研究员王丽萍介绍，“经试点研究，奥密克戎变异株平均潜伏期缩短，多为2-4天，绝大部分感染者都能在7天内检出。” 那么，再对密接者以及入境人员实施“14天集中隔离医学观察+7天居家健康监测”，显然是不必要的。

According to Wang Liping, a research fellow at the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC), "After pilot research, the average incubation period of the Omicron variant was shortened to 2-4 days, and most infected people could be detected within 7 days." So, it is obviously no need to implement "14-day centralized isolation + 7-day home isolation " for close contacts and inbound personnel.

将隔离管控时间调整为“7天集中隔离医学观察+3天居家健康监测”并不会增加疫情传播的风险，而是优化目前疫情防控措施，做到精准防控，也减轻了公众的隔离负担。

Shortening the quarantine period to “7+3” for people entering China will not increase the risk of the spread of the disease.

有关人士指出，如果能够更快追踪到确诊病例并实施有效隔离，那么隔离时间还有可能缩短至3天。

If infected cases can be more easily tracked and quarantined, it is possible to shorten their quarantine period to three days at the minimum, noted by someone relevant.

中国不断吸取以往经验并致力于优化疫情防控措施，力求让疫情之于群众生活的影响降至最小。同时，也在努力促进国际交流，包括恢复受理签证申请，取消部分航班熔断机制等，所以，不排除入境要求会进一步放宽的可能性。
