Good news for foodies in Guangzhou!

广州素以美食闻名，最近更是筹办了一场中华美食荟，邀八方来客。

Guangzhou has been known as a foodie-friendly city. It recently invited the world to attend the 2022 Galaxy Chinese Cuisine event.

7月27日，“2022中华美食荟暨粤港澳美食嘉年华”在广州地标性建筑广州塔拉开帷幕，人们可以在这里一边品尝美食，一边欣赏波光粼粼的珠江夜景。此次盛事将会持续到8月31日。

The 2022 Galaxy Chinese Cuisine and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Gourmet Carnival kicked off on July 27 at Canton Tower, a landmark building in Guangzhou where people can enjoy the food and the night view of the glittering Pearl River. This event will last until August 31.

未来几周，还将举办粤菜文化展，发放美食消费券，举办国际美食活动和论坛等，包括餐饮之都高峰论坛——发展项目大赛、中国（广州）酒店及餐饮博览会、中国（广州）国际葡萄酒展览会。

In the following weeks, the city will hold cultural exhibition of Cantonese cuisine, issue food consumer coupons, and hold international food events and forums, including the Catering Capital Summit Forum--Development Project Competition, China (Guangzhou) Hotel and Catering Expo, and China (Guangzhou) International Wine Exhibition.

尽管经济环境变化莫测，新冠疫情反复，但广州的餐饮业仍在稳步增长。

Despite the changing economic environment, as well as the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the catering industry in Guangzhou is growing steadily.

2022年上半年，广州住宿与餐饮业实现零售额372亿元，新登记市场主体同比增长6.14%，这次美食荟的举办也有望进一步刺激这两个行业的发展。

In the first six months of 2022, the retail sales of Guangzhou accommodation and catering industries reached 37.2 billion yuan, with the newly registered market entities of the accommodation and catering industries increasing by 6.14% as compared with the previous figure. The 2022 Galaxy Chinese Cuisine is expected to stimulate further the two industries.
