Eid al-Adha in Guangzhou! 古尔邦节来啦！

 

在中国，2022 年的古尔邦节将从 2022 年 7 月 8 日晚上开始，到 2022 年 7 月 11 日结束。

Eid ul Adha 2022 Date in China starts on the evening of 08 July 2022 and ends on 11 July 2022.

在广州，2022年7月10日为古尔邦节。广州伊斯兰教协会也将于几处清真寺以及临时礼拜点举行古尔邦节会礼活动，大家可以前往参加哦，具体地点及时间安排如下：

In Guangzhou, the Eid al-Adha this year falls in July 10. Guangzhou Islamic Association will hold the Eid al-Adha in several mosques and temporary praying places. The specific locations and time arrangements are as follows:

1、需提前预约（开放预约时间：2022年7月8日15:00），且持有48小时核酸阴性证明方可进入清真寺（礼拜点）。预约成功后，请在家做好大小净，携带身份证或护照等有效证件，不要带刀具、行李及挂包前往。如有发热、咳嗽等症状者请勿预约。

Everyone must make an appointment (Appointment begins at 15:00 Jul 8th 2022), and hold 48 hour nucleic acid negative result to enter the Mosques (Temporary Praying Places). If your appointment is successful, please wash in your home, and arrive at the Mosque with your ID card or passport. Do not carry knife, luggage and Hanging bag. Do not make an appointment if you were fever and cough, etc.

2、请配合工作人员、义工进行测温、安检、核验证件，扫码取号，按号就位，礼拜时每人前后左右均保持 1 米间距。

Please cooperate with the staff to measure your body temperature and Security check , Check the certificate, Scan code and take number, Position according tothe number, Keep a distance of 1 meter between each person during pray.

3、清真寺内须全程佩戴口罩，请勿拥抱、握手、聚集交谈等。

Masks should be worn in Mosques. Do not hug, shake hands, gather to chat, etc.

4、请勿带未成年人进入清真寺参加活动。

Minors are not allowed into Mosques for activities.

 

古尔邦节是伊斯兰教年的第二个重大节日，也叫作宰牲节。受《古兰经》影响，在这一天，穆斯林会通过献祭牲畜来表达自己对于真主安拉的遵从。

Eid al-Adha is the second Eid of every Islamic year, it is also called Festival of Sacrifice. On this day, Muslims demonstrate their obedience to Allah by sacrificing an animal, inspired by a story from the Quran.

《古兰经》中有一则关于先知易卜拉欣（Ibrahim）的故事。真主安拉命令他杀死儿子伊斯梅尔（Ismail）以考验他的诚心，正当易卜拉欣准备献祭时，真主安拉用一只公羊换下了伊斯梅尔。

The Quran tells the story of the prophet Ibrahim who Allah (God) commands to kill his son, Ismail, to prove his obedience. As Ibrahim prepares for the sacrifice, Allah replaces Ismail with a ram to be slaughtered in his stead.

因此，古尔邦节也被认为是为了纪念易卜拉欣的虔诚行为以及他无条件服从真主命令的意志。

Therefore, this festival also is regarded as a commemoration of Ibrahim’s act of obedience and his willingness to follow God’s command without question.

除了其宗教起源，古尔邦节更多还是一个盛大的庆祝活动。人们会特地购置新衣，穿上最好的衣服，与亲朋好友共聚同庆。

Despite its pious origins, Eid al-Adha is, first and foremost, a big celebration. People dress in their finest garments, often having bought new clothes for the occasion, and meet with family and friends to celebrate together.

节日这天通常会以集体祈祷（Eid Salaah）开始。日出后，穆斯林相聚在当地的清真寺，一起进行特别的古尔邦节祈祷并听取布道。

The day usually starts with communal prayer (Eid Salaah). Muslims congregate at the local mosque after sunrise to say special Eid prayers and hear a sermon.

祈祷过后，大家会相互祝福，互相拥抱，还会交换一些小礼物。

Following the prayer, people wish each other Eid Mubarak, meaning Happy Eid or Blessed Eid, embrace each other and exchange small gifts.

为了纪念易卜拉欣和伊斯梅尔，世界各地的穆斯林都传承着一种传统，即在古尔邦节这天宰杀大量的牲畜作为祭品，总量可达数百万只。得到的肉要分成三等份，一份分给穷人，一份分给亲戚，还有一份留在家里自食。

In commemoration of the story of Ibrahim and Ismail, Muslims around the world slaughter millions of animals as sacrifice on Eid al-Adha in a tradition. The meat is to be divided into three equal parts, one part is distributed among the poor, second part is given to the relatives and third part is kept at home for own consumption.

羊是宰牲节献祭的动物之一。

Sheep are among the animals sacrificed on Eid al-Adha.

布施和行善是古尔邦节的重要活动。除了将肉分给需要的人，很多人还会给慈善事业捐款。

Sharing and charity play a large part on Eid, and many people give money at charitable causes on this day, in addition to sharing the meat of the slaughtered animal with people in need.

虽然古尔邦节涉及大量杀生，但最深层的意义在于鼓励无私奉献。这一穆斯林传统鼓励大家牺牲个人欲望，并乐于与不幸的同伴分享财富。换句话说，我们要做易卜拉欣那样的人，愿于牺牲，勇于放弃自己的珍视之物。

In fact, although Eid al-Adha involves actual animal sacrifice, the underlying meaning of the holiday is based on a more symbolic and selfless interpretation of the concept. Muslim tradition encourages sacrificing your personal desires and sharing your wealth with those less fortunate, in other words, giving up something you hold dear, just like Ibrahim demonstrated who showed himself willing to sacrifice his own beloved son.
