For foreign traders, it is quite common to have a Hong Kong bank account, with no foreign exchange control, stable exchange rate, no limit on payment and low tax rate.

香港账户优势确实很突出，但关户风险也是真的高。近年来，国际社会大力打击洗钱、恐怖分子资金筹集和逃税等不法活动，再加上各种形式的制裁行动，各大银行都加强了对自己账户的监管，汇丰也不例外。

The advantage of Hong Kong accounts is outstanding, but there is also much occurrence of closed accounts. In recent years, the international community has vigorously cracked down on illegal activities such as money laundering, terrorist fund raising and tax evasion, as well as various forms of sanctions, which make the banks, including HSBC, to tighten their supervision over their accounts.

有位做外贸生意的客户也是因为账户被关的问题来找我们了。他是从中国供应商工厂采购塑料棒、环氧玻璃纤维片材、橡胶板等产品并卖到印度，为了方便发展，他注册了一家香港公司，并开设了一个香港汇丰账户（公司户），但后来账户被关了。

A client engaged in foreign trade business, came to our company for help. His business mainly is to purchase plastic rods, epoxy glass fiber sheets, rubber sheets and other products from a Chinese supplier factory and sell them to India. To pursue a better development, he registered a Hong Kong company and opened a Hong Kong HSBC account (company account) years ago, but later the account was closed.

为了不影响之后的货款收付，这位客户想重新再开一个香港汇丰银行账户，就来到了我们公司进行咨询。

Now he wants a new HSBC account in Hong Kong, so as to receive the payments from his buyers in a better way. 

但香港公司已有香港汇丰关户记录，还可以再开香港汇丰银行吗？

But, The Hong Kong HSBC has already closed his company’s account for once, is it possible for him to open a new one? 

这得看情况。如果公司进了汇丰银行的黑名单，那么不仅这家公司，就连其董事股东所持有的其他香港公司也无法在汇丰银行和恒生银行开公司户了。

Well, it depends. If the company is blacklisted by HSBC, then not only this company, but also other Hong Kong companies owned by its directors and shareholders can no longer open company accounts in HSBC and Hang Seng Bank.

如果没有进黑名单，就还有再次成功开户的可能性。

If it is not blacklisted, possibility exists.

所以，首先就是要将公司过往在汇丰银行开设的账户信息（包括公司名字+过往持有的账户号码），提供给汇丰银行经理进行名称查册，看看这一公司目前是否在汇丰集团的黑名单里。

Therefore, the first step is to provide the once-held account information (including the company name and the account number) in HSBC Bank to the bank manager of HSBC to check whether the company is currently on the blacklist of HSBC Group.

很多老板会觉得账户被关之后就不可能重开了，其实不然。事实上，汇丰银行会根据客户的当初被关原因来划分客户的风险等级，并不是完全没有重开的可能。

Many friends will think it is impossible to get a new account when they have a record of closed account in the bank, but it is not true. In fact, the HSBC bank will evaluate the risk level of the applicant according to the reason why the once-held account was closed, and decide the possibility of reopening an account.

因疑似涉及触犯反洗钱条例而被关会被判定为高风险黑名单，不可重开。

Accounts closed due to suspected violation of anti-money laundering regulations will be placed on the high-risk blacklist and the holder will not be allowed to get a new one.

因涉及交易地区风险过高或账户使用不当而被关户，有机会开，但几率较小。

If the account is closed due to transactions related to high-risk areas or improper use, there is a small chance to open a new one.

因长期作为不动户/自己主动销户/忘记回复银行KYC等原因被关户，只要现阶段资料符合银行要求，重开的成功几率很大。

If the account was closed due to being a sleeping account for a long time, its owner’s will or no in-time response to KYC, it is highly possible to get a new one as long as the current status of the company meets the bank's requirements.
