相信有了解过香港公司的朋友，都会听说过两个部门，一是香港注册处，二是香港税务局。
People who know Hong Kong companies might hear of two HK departments, one is the Companies Registry, and the other is the Inland Revenue Department.
但是你知道它们有什么作用吗？又或者说，如果你的公司出问题了，哪个部门可以帮你解决？
But have you known what their responsibilities are? Or, if something happens to your HK company, do you know which one should you turn to for help?
First of all, the functions displayed on the official website of the Companies Registry include:

To provide services for incorporation or registration of companies, limited partnerships, limited partnership funds, open-ended fund companies, trust companies and registered trustees corporations and to register all documentation required by the various Ordinances governing companies and other entities.

To provide the public with services to search for the information on companies and other entities held by the Registry.

To ensure compliance by companies and other entities and their officers with their obligations under relevant Ordinances.

To administer the licensing regime for trust or company service providers.

To process license applications/renewals for money lenders and maintain a register of money lenders for inspection by members of the public.

To advise the Government on policy and legislative issues regarding company law and related legislation.

To achieve all the aims described above in an efficient and effective manner and to provide services within time frames and at prices which are acceptable to our customers.
这样看起来好像很复杂，搞得我们一头雾水。其实，简单来说，香港注册处就是一个为在港商务相关活动提供服务的政府机构，包括监督香港本地有限公司、开放式基金公司、非香港公司的相关持牌行为。
Functions above may seem very complicated and confusing. In fact, in simple terms, it is a government department that provides services for business-related activities in Hong Kong, including supervising the relevant licensed behavior of Hong Kong local limited companies, open-end fund companies, and non-Hong Kong companies.
也就是说，在港所有相关商务行为都需要向注册处进行资料提交申请。我们香港公司的注册证书，NNC1/NAR1表格，以及公司董事或相关信息变更等非税类业务，都是和香港注册处相关。
That is to say, all business activities in Hong Kong shall be reported to and approved by the Companies Registry. Non-tax affairs as registration certificate, NNC1/NAR1 Form, and changes on company’s directors or other related information are handled by the Companies Registry.

Inland Revenue Department
香港税务局，那就更容易理解了。香港税务局，顾名思义就是负责香港税务的监管部门。有关于BR商业登记证、利得税表、薪俸税表、公司股份转让文件以及审计报告等，都属于税务局的业务范围。
The other is the Inland Revenue Department, which is easier to understand. As its name suggests, the department is a regulatory authority responsible for taxation. Therefore, you can always solve the problems related to BR certificate, Profits Tax Return, Salaries Tax Return, documents of shares transfer and audit reports, etc.
