Citi to close it personal banking business in CN mainland

12月15日，花旗宣布，将逐步关闭中国大陆的个人银行业务。

On December 15, Citigroup announced that it would gradually close the personal banking business in CN Mainland.

据中国证券网报道，这是花旗此前全球个人银行业务战略转型的后续。早在2021年4月，花旗宣布在全球范围内对个人银行业务进行战略调整和转型——在亚洲、欧洲、中东和非洲，后又宣布在墨西哥，共计14个市场退出个人银行业务。这其中就包括中国大陆市场。

According to China media, this is the follow-up of Citi's previous strategic transformation of global personal banking business. As early as April 2021, Citigroup announced the strategic adjustment and transformation of its personal banking business worldwide. It closed its personal banking business in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and later in Mexico, a total of 14 markets, including the CN Mainland.

花旗还表示，在逐步关闭个人业务的过程中，将继续寻求单独出售中国大陆个人银行业务中的个体业务的可能性。

Citi also said that in the process of gradually closing its personal banking business, it will continue to seek the possibility of selling individual businesses in the personal banking business in mainland separately.

不过，花旗同时重申，将继续坚定在中国发展企业与机构客户业务。

However, Citigroup also stressed that it would continue to firmly develop enterprise and institutional customer business in China.
