The Panama Canal Authority is reporting that a fire broke out in the engine room of a containership near the Pacific entrance of the Panama Canal on Monday.
据了解，事故集装箱船“Cape Kortia”，建造于2017年，可装载11000TUE，悬挂马耳他旗，由希腊船东Costamare拥有，并租给MSC地中海航运。事故发生时，它正驶向巴拿马PSA国际码头。
The fire was reported on the Maltese-flagged M/V Cape Kortia, built in 2017, owned by Costamare (NYSE: CMRE) and chartered to MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company. Its capacity is 11,010 TEUs. It was navigating towards the PSA Panama International Terminal.

火灾随后被巴拿马市消防员扑灭，该船被带到巴尔博亚的巴拿马PSA国际码头，并在1月30日16:50左右停泊。据了解，火灾仅局限于机舱，没有人员受伤的报告。
The fire was then put out by the firefighters of Panama City, and the ship was taken to the PSA International Terminal in Balboa and berthed at about 16:50 on January 30. It is understood that the fire was limited to the engine room, and there is no report of personal injury.
