1月31日，香港特区行政长官李家超出席行政会议前会见媒体时表示，特区政府在春节期间与内地有关部门保持紧密联系，进展积极正面，有信心很快与内地达成全面通关，包括过关取消核酸检测要求、增加开放口岸数目以及取消人数安排等。
HONG KONG hopes to fully resume cross-border travel with the Chinese mainland including scrapping nucleic acid testing, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government John Lee said Jan 31. He also added that more details will be soon unveiled, including cancelling COVID tests, opening more ports and allowing more travelers coming to HK.
李家超指出，特区政府希望在2023年令香港脱离疫情困扰，逐步恢复正常。他表示，有报道称本港餐饮业营业额将破100亿港元，零售业增长亦强劲，市民感到新春充满活力，各行业正活起来、好起来。
Li pointed out that the SAR government hopes to free the city from the epidemic and gradually return to normal by 2023. He said that it was reported that the turnover of the catering industry in Hong Kong would exceed HK $10 billion, and the retail industry was also growing strongly. 李家超表示，随着隔离令于1月30日起撤销，香港管控疫情进入新常态。2023年特区政府重点工作还包括聚焦发展经济、推广香港。
Lee said that as COVID-19 prevention and control work enters a new stage with no longer compulsory quarantine for infected people starting from Jan 30, the government has designed focus for its future work, such as developing economy and promoting Hong Kong.
另外，特区政府亦会在冬季流感高峰期后认真考虑是否取消“口罩令”。
Besides, Lee said that the SAR government will give serious consideration to whether it is still needed to wearing mask in the public after the winter flu peak.
目前，前往香港的旅客需在出行前24小时内使用微信搜索“海关旅客指尖服务”小程序进行健康申报，同时准备好48小时核酸阴性证明以备查验。
At present, travelers heading to Hong Kong need to declare their health via WeChat applet "海关旅客指尖服务" within 24 hours before their trip, and prepare a 48-hour COVID test negative report.
