Last Thursday, the State Council announced the arrangement of holidays in 2023. There are currently seven official public holidays in China. Weekends are usually swapped with the weekdays next to the actual holiday to create a longer vacation.

元旦：2022年12月31日至2023年1月2日放假调休，共3天。

New Year's Day: December 31, 2022—January 2, 2023, 3 days off.

春节：1月21日至27日放假调休，共7天。1月28日（星期六）、1月29日（星期日）上班。

Spring Festival: From January 21st to 27th, a total of 7 days off. Work on January 28th (Saturday) and January 29th (Sunday).

清明节：4月5日放假，共1天。

Tomb Sweeping Day: April 5, 1 day off.

劳动节：4月29日至5月3日放假调休，共5天。4月23日（星期日）、5月6日（星期六）上班。

Labor Day: From April 29 to May 3, a total of 5 days off. Work on April 23 (Sunday) and May 6 (Saturday).

端午节：6月22日至24日放假调休，共3天。6月25日（星期日）上班。

Dragon Boat Festival: 3 days off from June 22nd to 24th. Work on June 25 (Sunday).

中秋节、国庆节：9月29日至10月6日放假调休，共8天。10月7日（星期六）、10月8日（星期日）上班。

Mid-Autumn Festival & National Day: 8 days off from September 29 to October 6. Work on October 7 (Saturday) and October 8 (Sunday).
