A new change for entering/leaving China! The Chinese General Administration of Customs (GAC) announced on Tuesday that it will abolish the requirement for border-crossing personnel to fill in the health declaration card, commonly known as the "black code."

However, individuals with symptoms of infectious diseases such as fever, cough, difficulty breathing, vomiting, diarrhea, rash, unexplained subcutaneous bleeding, or those diagnosed with infectious diseases must proactively declare their health to the customs and cooperate with the customs in conducting health quarantine work, including temperature checks, epidemiological investigations, medical examinations, and sample testing.
The GAC emphasized that any concealment or evasion of quarantine would result in legal consequences.
It is a step towards normalizing travel procedures while maintaining necessary precautions for public health. It is expected to streamline the entry and exit process, making it more convenient for travelers while ensuring the continued safety of all individuals.
