In 2018, a Beijing kindergarten bought two false academic certificates and embassy certificates on Taobao for two foreigners. When they took the documents to apply for the work visa and permit, they were intercepted by relevant departments on the spot.
After an investigation, the manager of the kindergarten and the Taobao merchant were sentenced to eight months in prison (suspended for one year) and fined 10,000 yuan for buying and selling state certificates illegally.
Please remember that whether you are a foreign teacher or come to China to engage in other work, the authenticity of your education needs to be certified by the diplomatic department. There are several ways to attest your diploma:
1. Double Certificated by Chinese embassy or consulate, and the foreign ministry of your country.
2. Certificated by the Chinese embassy or consulate of the country where you obtained the diploma.
3. Certificated by Chinese education certification organization.

2. Notarized by the local notary organization.
No need for certification, just provide a scanned copy of the original degree certificate.
