What is APEC Business Travel Card?
The APEC Business Travel Card is a travel document that is held by relevant business persons in APEC economies under the APEC Business Travel Card Program and can be used to directly enter and exit APEC economies.
At present, APEC has 21 economies, including:
China, Hong Kong, China, Taipei, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Chile, Peru, Mexico, United States, Canada, and Russia.
What is the convenience of holding a travel card?
The cardholder can use the travel card and valid passport to engage in business activities directly between the approved economies, eliminating the cumbersome procedures of applying for visas for APEC economies, saving time and costs.
Applicants apply once, valid for five years, multiple entry, major airports in various economies generally provide cardholders with entry and exit customs clearance convenience.
60 days: Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Singapore
90 days: Australia, Brunei, Chile, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Peru, Russia, Thailand, Vietnam
180 days: Mexico
These cards are only available to citizens of APEC economies and must be processed in their country of nationality.
