Here’s where timing matters: Within 60 days of birth, you must:
✔ Report the birth to the local Public Security Bureau (PSB) Exit-Entry Administration
✔ Apply for your baby’s birth registration and residence permit
⚠️ Important Note: If your baby obtains a foreign passport within 60 days, you can skip the birth registration and directly apply for a visa/residence permit.
Step 3:
After completing the birth registration, you’ll need to apply for your baby’s appropriate visa within 120 days to ensure legal stay in China.
