No need. A foreigner holding a residence permit for study who needs to practice outside the school shall take the Application Form for Internship to the Exit and Entry Administration Bureau, and apply for an off-campus internship residence permit.

What else do I need to be aware of
after applying for an internship
endorsement on my residence permit?
Please note that each time you apply for an off-campus internship, the maximum registration period is not more than 6 months; If the duration of the internship is more than 6 months, you must re-apply after the expiration.
If you change your internship unit or school, you will need to apply for a new placement.

at an overseas university,
can I have an internship?
Foreign students from overseas colleges and universities who are invited by well-known domestic enterprises and institutions to come to China for internships may apply for visas valid for one year from the Exit-Entry Administration Department of the Public Security Organs to carry out the internship activities on the basis of a letter from the inviting organization and a certificate of enrollment in the college or university, and other documents and apply for work-type residence permits in accordance with the regulations.
