Nine airports where you can exempt from border control

In order to further open up the relevant blocking points of foreign nationals coming to China for business, study and tourism, take the initiative to promote the construction of a new development pattern, ensure a high level of opening-up, and promote high-quality development, the National Immigration Administration officially implemented five measures to facilitate foreign nationals coming to China as early as the beginning of 2024.

At the same time, foreign nationals in Beijing Capital Airport and other nine hubs of direct transit without inspection procedures, 24 hours of direct transit.

Inbound and outbound passengers who pass through the above-mentioned airports for 24 hours without going through the inspection procedures need to meet the following two conditions:

(1) You should have a valid international travel document;

(2) Hold a seat booked within 24 hours, transit ticket to a third country or region, and do not leave the restricted area of the port.

International transit passengers who meet these two conditions only need to go to the international direct transit area, complete the relevant check-in procedures, and wait for boarding in the departure lounge.

The measure does not discriminate between nationalities and applies to all passengers travelling on international flights. If you have a valid international travel document, a confirmed date and seat, and an international connecting ticket from the port to a third country or region within 24 hours, you can enjoy this facilitation measure.
