Of course you can! The student visa can be transferred to a work visa if one of the following conditions is met.

Foreign graduate with a master's degree or above from a well-known university in China or abroad, then within one year of graduation, you can apply for a 1-year category C work visa without working experience.

Foreigners who have obtained international language teaching certificates may engage in mother tongue teaching in their native country without working experience.

Foreign graduates who have two or more years of formal work experience outside of the study period can either find a job directly, apply for a work visa, or register a company in China and be their own boss!
In Guangdong, foreign graduates with a master's degree or above in a specific field of study at a designated world-class university can apply for a category B work visa of no more than 1-year after graduation, exempted from work experience.
