Most stores in Hong Kong accept Visa payment. You can also use your credit card when taking the subway. Only a few stores or restaurants only accept cash. You can exchange Hong Kong dollars as needed.

Smoking is prohibited indoors. Smoking outside designated areas will result in a fine of HK$1,500 to HK$5,000.
Eating, using profanity, or playing mobile phone audio aloud on the MTR will incur a HK$2,000 fine.
Do not feed the pigeons found everywhere in Hong Kong; doing so carries a HK$3,000 fine.
Spitting in public, littering, jaywalking, and other uncivilized behaviors incur a HK$1,500 fine.
Carrying excessive luxury goods into China may incur fines. For example, carrying more than 19 cigarettes or 25 grams of cigars may result in fines up to HK$1 million, with severe cases facing imprisonment.
Carrying goods valued over HK$120,000 without declaration may incur fines up to HK$500,000.
