How can your foreign partner get long-term residency in China?

① Foreign nationals of Chinese descent holding a doctoral degree or higher who have worked in the Guangdong Free Trade Zone with a work-type residence permit may directly apply for permanent residence in China;

② Foreign nationals working in designated areas of Guangdong Province who have continuously worked for three years with a work-type residence permit annotated as “人才”(Talent) may also apply for permanent residence with the recommendation of their employer.

Housing Provident Fund: Foreign nationals can deposit and use the housing provident fund at their workplace. When leaving the area, the withdrawal or transfer of housing provident funds can be handled according to the regulations.
