第二届中非经贸博览会以“新起点、新机遇、新作为”为主题，邀请了阿尔及利亚等6个非洲国家作为主宾国，博览会开幕式暨中非经贸合作论坛，于9月26日下午在湖南长沙举行。

展馆位于创新示范园三楼，覆盖3500平，以科技金属板哑光镜面金为主要墙面材料，运用了包括圆柱、弯弧、穿孔透光、异形裁剪等特殊工艺。

展馆序厅主形象设计为中国和非洲壁挂模型共用一片海洋的艺术重构，象征中国和非洲的依水相连，共同发展，其中元素提取自湘江水与丝绸之路的柔美曲线，代表着中非友谊的源远流长，两国经济和人文和水乳交融。
建设历程展厅从中非友谊的缔结、共建一带一路实施八大行动、中-非经贸博览会、三高四新引领湖南新发展、大事记几个方面展示从中非友谊的开启到自贸雨花快速发展的历史进程，展区空间设计力求简洁大气，吻合“上位战略”定位。
规划展示厅通过立体化规划图展示全国自贸区、湖南自贸区规划，长沙自贸区分布和雨花区块规划布局。其中雨花区块规划布局设置了自贸雨花规划发展多媒体沙盘，通过实体模型和规划影片，详细解读自贸雨花发展规划。
发展成果厅开篇，以逻辑结构图的方式展现中非经贸综合服务中心、中非金融服务平台、经贸孵化中心、非洲非资源性产品交易中心四大功能平台架构图，展区整体空间注重通过色彩、造型和图案等元素营造艺术化、抽象化非洲风情，空间上借助建筑立柱包裹而出一棵抽象的树木，配合墙面背景强化非洲意向。
金色是沙漠的颜色，也是生命力的象征。色彩和曲线反复重叠，金属和科技感无限延伸，又戛然止于画框，而灵感却不会被现实所限制。
