Louisette Geiss, an actress and producer, says she was attacked by Weinstein in 2008. He went to the bathroom and emerged wearing only a robe that was open at the front. She claims he insisted on continuing to listen to her pitch in his hot tub, then asked her to watch him masturbate. When she told him she was leaving, he grabbed her arm, pulled her into the bathroom and told her he could green-light her script - if she watched him.

The termcasting couch first appeared in Variety on Nov.24, 1937,with specific referenceto couches in offices that could be used for sexual activity between castingdirectors or film producers and aspiring actors.

It may seem like a relic of the golden age of Hollywood， but the casting couch is still a major issue in Hollywood. “Many women are being victimized and are being asked for sexual favors in order to get a job, to keep a job or to be promoted," says attorney Gloria Allred who represents women making complaints against Weinstein.
