Across the world, senior citizens are increasingly turning to pursuits that are usually thought to be reserved for the young， such as strutting down runways and becoming YouTube stars,quite literally, granny chic. Besides catering to a growing silver economy, which sees older models employed in campaigns aimed at older consumers

Ping Sie is represented by Platinum Angels Management Agency (PAM), a modeling company with talents who are all 50 years old and up. It’s billed as the first modeling agency in Asia that exclusively represents senior models.
Ping Sie 由白金天使管理机构( PAM )代理，是一家以 50 岁以上的模特为基础的模特公司，被誉为亚洲第一家专门代理高级模特的模特经纪公司。
Cofounder Béatrice Andre-Basse want to pursue modeling again in her mid-50s. But she quickly noticed that there was a sore lack of models in her age group. “I realized that I was the only one with gray hair,” said Andre-Basse.
公司的联合创始人安德烈-巴斯在50岁的时候想要重回模特行业，但她注意到，在这个年龄段，模特非常缺乏。“我意识到我是唯一一个头发花白的人。”她说。
It was against this backdrop that PAM emerged, PAM is also intent on challenging conventional ideas of fashion aesthetics. This is why there are practically no physical requirements to join the modeling agency—as long as you’re at least 50 years old.

In fact, Andre-Basse emphasized, they want to see “real people” instead of “beautiful creatures.”“we are not looking for very, very beautiful senior people. We are looking for old people who want to show what they have inside themselves. We want them to shine,” she said.

Pom Pom
Japan Pom Pom is a group of energetic seniors cheering to stay in shape. They’re applauded for taking care of their health. For them, cheer is about freedom and disregarding the judgment of others.

They have performed a few times at senior centers and were given nasty looks.

Because of the stereotypical expectations that older Japanese women must wear more reserved clothing, they selected ensembles that were more toned-down in the first few years of the group’s founding.
Now，fun costumes they are. Sparkles? A must. Sleeveless tops? Of course. Short skirts? A given.

Senior citizens find themselves marginalized, seen as not having the same mental or physical capacity as younger folks. In Singapore, aging is still somewhat stigmatized, and mainstream perceptions of what the elderly can or cannot do remain narrow.

With around 20 talents and counting, PAM hopes to continue to expand its philosophy of aging vivaciously and beautifully. Pom Pom is also more than just a fun cheerleading performance, it is a miracle that gives courage and strength to others.
PAM大约有20个模特，并且还在不断增加，希望能够继续扩展其“活得更美”的理念。Pom Pom也不仅仅是一个有趣的啦啦队表演，更是一种能给他人勇气和力量的奇迹。这些都有助于老年模特在他们的老龄化之旅中获得信心。
