《小猪佩奇》：我和我的两个妈妈住在一起

Worldwide children' s TV sensation Peppa Pig has added a same-sex couple to its cast of characters. It is the first time in the show' s 18-year history that the programme has introduced a family in which the parents are LGBTQ+.

风靡全球的儿童电视节目《小猪佩奇》在其角色中加入了一对同性情侣。这是该节目18年的播出历史上第一次介绍有LGBTQ＋*父母的家庭。

在《家庭》这一集中，一个名叫佩妮的角色宣布她的监护人是一对女同性恋北极熊。“我和两个妈妈住在一起。一个妈妈是医生，另一个是做意大利面的。”佩妮解释道。

The series has previously attracted criticism for reinforcing gender stereotypes. As well as drawing disapproval for being overly focused on a highly traditional middle-class nuclear family - featuring "mummy pig" looking after the kids while "daddy pig" goes out to work - the London Fire Brigade spoke out in 2019 to criticise its usage of the word "fireman" .

此前，《小猪佩奇》曾因强化性别刻板印象而受到批评。部分剧集聚焦于传统的中产阶级家庭——“猪妈妈”照看孩子，而“猪爸爸”外出工作，因而招致了观众的反对。此外，伦敦消防队也在2019年公开批评了剧中“fireman”一词的使用。

《小猪佩奇》在提到消防员这一职业时，使用了可能有性别歧视含义的“fireman”一词，而没有用普遍推广的“firefighter”，因此被伦敦消防局批评搞性别歧视，称这种用词不当是对消防工作的不尊重，且可能导致女孩不愿当消防员。

It follows years of campaigning for the programme to showcase a more diverse selection of families. A petition to persuade the series' creators to include a same-sex family launched two years ago and gathered nearly 24,000 signatures.

多年来，人们一直在努力让该剧展示更多样化的家庭选择。两年前，人们发起了一项请愿活动，希望说服该剧加入一个同性家庭，活动征集了近2.4万个签名。

The Disney Channel, which launched in 1983, Disney XD, which began in 2009, Disney Junior, which launched in 2011, and shows on Disney+, along with the short-lived Toon Disney, have all occasionally featured lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBTQ) characters in their programming.

1983年开始运营的迪士尼频道、2009年开始运营的迪士尼XD、2011年开始运营的迪士尼少儿频道、迪士尼+上的节目以及运营时间很短的Toon迪士尼频道，都会偶尔在节目中编排与LGBTQ群体相关的内容。

From 1983 onward, Disney struggled with LGBTQ representation in their animated series, and their content often included LGBTQ stereotypes, like queer-coded characters in the films Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and Mulan or the content was censored in series such as Blazing Dragons.

In later years, there were efforts to ameliorate this, with series like The Owl House which featured a bisexual protagonist, Luz Noceda and various other LGBTQ characters. Other such characters were depicted in DuckTales and other series.

Federico Mollicone, culture spokesperson for the conservative Brothers of Italy party, declared that the nation “cannot accept gender indoctrination” and claimed that “Once again the politically correct hasstruck, at the expense of our children.”

“We reiterate the right of children to be considered as such and not to be exploited; we also believe that they have the right to have a father and a mother and a traditional natural family model which for us represents a value to be defended, safeguarded and protected,”Mollicone said.

It’s portrayal of Penny the Polar Bear’s family appears to have been better received, however. Robbie de Santos, director of communications and external affairs at LGBT rights charity Stonewall, told the BBC that he saw the introduction of a same-sex couple as ‘fantastic'.

“Many of those who watch the show will have two mums or two dads themselves,” he commented. “It will mean a lot to parents and children that their experiences are being represented on such an iconic children’s programme.”
