由AI独自生成的情景喜剧——《Nothing, Forever》，从10月27日开始出现了故障。

"Nothing, Forever," an AI-generated content based on Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David’s ’90s comedic sitcom, Seinfeld, started streaming non-stop online in December 2022 and has over 170,000 followers. It sports a chunky pixel style that looks a video game, and computerized voices that deliver an endless stream of Seinfeld-esque antics.

The group making it is called Mismatch Media, and the people behind it describe themselves as “scientists, entrepreneurs, engineers, technology professionals, and more,” on their website. 

制作这款产品的组织被称为“Mismatch媒体”，这一制作人团队自称是“科学家、企业家、工程师、技术专业人士等”。

四年前，Mismatch 媒体的 Skyler Hartle 和联合创作者 Brian Habersberger 提出了制作一个以“空”（nothing）为主题的AI自主生成节目的想法。

On the Twitch page, a description of the stream reads, “Nothing, Forever is a show about nothing, that happens forever. Kinda like popular sitcoms of the past, except that it never stops.” The channel description promises to run 365 days a year and deliver new content “every minute.”

“In addition to the third party services we’ve used, we have a lot of proprietary generative algorithms that cause the show to be ‘formed’, so to be speak. We collectively call this logic the ‘director,’ as it is largely responsible for making sure all the individual pieces come together into a whole,” Skyler Hartle said via email.

In one scene, the characters are sitting at a diner table that resembles the famed Seinfeld diner. "Is it really so strange to wonder why we are here?" one character says.

The characters "don't even say anything anymore and just stand still in complete silence," one X user wrote.

I spoke to the creators of Nothing, Forever, who explained that they are aware that fans believed their show had jumped the shark. Now, it’s just fully broken 10 months after its launch, and curious people are giving the show one final look.
