在因好莱坞编剧罢工*而推迟制作之后，Netflix 的《怪奇物语》最后一季的制作预计将于 2024 年 1 月初启动。
译注：好莱坞编剧罢工，是2023年5月2日开始的一场大规模的劳资纠纷，涉及约1.15万名电影和电视编剧。罢工持续了148天，期间导致许多电视节目停播，一些电影和电视剧的上映和制作也受到影响。双方于2023年9月27日达成了一项临时协议，其中包括提高编剧的最低工资、增加养老金和医保基金的分配、规定AI创作工具的使用范围等。罢工于2023年11月9日00:01正式结束。
《怪奇物语》系列剧绝对算得上 Netflix 的王牌，剧集自 2016 年一经上线便广受好评，火爆全球。目前一共制作了四季，IDMb 8.7 分，豆瓣 8.7-9.2 分。
目前具体什么时候开拍尚不明确，但是多个消息源透露，要么是 1 月 5 日开拍，要么是 1 月 8 日。
Things are still in flux, but multiple sources say Monday, January 8, is a target start date, with January 5 also being mentioned.
据悉，演员们已经在《怪奇物语》拍摄地亚特兰大进行准备工作了，并计划在新年开拍前的几周内进行剧本阅读。
Cast members are believed to already be in Atlanta, where Stranger Things films, for prep work, with table reads also slated for the next couple of weeks before cameras start rolling in the new year.
2023 年 5 月初，《怪奇物语》第五季正要开始制作时，好巧不巧赶上好莱坞编剧罢工爆发。

Scripts had been completed by then, but, faced with the prospect of filming without writers on set, creators, executive producers and showrunners the Duffer Brothers opted instead to postpone production, which then was delayed further by the actors strike.

Creators and executive producers Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer were among the most high profile showrunners to announce they were suspending work after the writers strike began in May, posting on social media that “Writing does not stop when filming begins.”

Stranger Things star David Harbour told People on November 9 that he had gotten a call about starting production immediately after SAG-AFTRA and the studios reached a tentative agreement November 8 to end the strike at midnight that day.

达菲兄弟去年说，最终季的目标是“完美收官（stick the landing）”。

It’s going to be ‘Return of the King’-ish with, like, eight endings.”

In a September interview with Total Film magazine, executive producer/director Shawn Levy teased a big spectacle. “It’s major, major, cinematic storytelling that happens to be called a TV series,” he said. “Stranger Things 5 is as big as any of the biggest movies that we see.”
