In recent years, various industries began to blow a light luxury fashion style, in order to adapt to the increasing visual aesthetics of contemporary people and the pursuit of quality of life. In our building materials industry, there is also a light luxury material called stone coated metal roof tiles. This kind of roof tile material is relatively new, and many interested friends are asking how to install these roof tiles.
So Sangobuild has compiled an installation strategy for stone coated metal roof tiles for you.
First of all, stone coated metal roof tiles are suitable for any roof construction, such as our common wooden houses, concrete, light steel structures and other buildings. However, there is one point that needs to be noted, because the stone coated metal roof tile itself still belongs to the roof tile series, so it should be installed on the base with a certain slope, to facilitate the normal flow of rainwater.
The installation of stone coated metal roof tile is mainly divided into 3 parts, which are: purlins and rafters installation, roof tiles installation and accessories installation.

Purlins and rafters installation need to use the material can be wood, can also be galvanized pipe and other materials. The purlins are installed in order from bottom to top. The first one is installed at the eaves, and the distance between the second one is about 350mm. It is more appropriate to keep the distance between the purlins at 370mm.

Here comes the important part, the installation of the stone coated metal roof tile is still done from bottom to top. The first stone coated metal roof tile out of the eaves 20mm distance, then followed by the second roof tile in order to install to the ridge. If there is extra part, you can directly cut or pulled down to a suitable place.

The installation of accessories includes common components such as valley tray, eave flashing, and barge board cover.
Let's talk about the valley tray first. Usually, the valley tray needs to be installed first, after the valley tray is installed then install the roof tiles. We install the roof tiles to the valley tray position to note that the roof tiles here need to be 20mm down this side. If the roof tiles are too long, they need to be cut, it is best to pre-lay roof tiles before cutting. Cut the end part of roof tile which meet valley with the cutting machine, put the cut of roof tile above valley and fold down the end part.

Then there's the eave flashing. The accessory of the eave flashing also needs to be installed first, fix and install on a purlin with screws. Then lay the roof tiles one by one on the eave flashing.

And finally the barge board cover. The barge board cover is generally after laying roof tiles and then installed. When we install the roof tiles to the barge board cover, we fold the roof tiles up by 30mm, and then put the barge board cover on the tiles, that is, the inner side of the barge board cover is pressed on the upper folded part, Then use the screws to fix the barge board cover.

In general, although the colored stone metal tile is a new type of roofing material, the overall installation and construction is relatively simple and convenient, and it is applicable to a wide range of building types. If you still don't understand something, you can leave a message to us.
