According to relevant regulations, the safe service life of gas water heaters with natural gas type and liquefied petroleum gas type is 8 years. Kitchen and bathroom professionals said that overage use is very dangerous. Through the investigation of safety accidents in the whole country, it is understood that the main factors causing accidents are overage use, or the use of direct discharge water heaters that are prohibited from production and sales by the state.

According to industry insiders, the safe service life of electric water heaters is 8 years, and the safety hazards that can be caused by exceeding the service life include "explosion accidents, electric shock casualties, product spontaneous combustion accidents", and these safety hazards occur on average every year.
