The launch of Mario Cavolo's second book, the Dragon Roars On, was a great success with dozens of people turning out to hear what this insightful author has to say about the rapid expansion of the Chinese middle class.
His main assertion in this book was that the Chinese economy might be far more stable than many people outside of China believe it to be. One of the main factors he asserts is that the "gray" economy of the books businesses in China is likely to be worth not millions, or even billions, but trillions of US dollars in money that is earned and spent completely off the books.
Relaxing at midtown and taking in one of their refreshing drinks on the house served as a great atmosphere to help fuel the discussions and debates that followed the presentation.
Cavolo is now relocating to the north of China, so this also served as a short farewell to the author, actor, pianist before he left Hangzhou early this week.
