China (Zhejiang) and Kazakhstan (Almaty) Trade and Investment Symposium was held in Almaty, the largest city of Kazakhstan, on June 22nd. The symposium, aiming at promoting China-Kazakhstan cooperation in cross-border digital economy, trade and investment, and production capacity under the “Belt and Road”Initiative, was jointly hosted by CCPIT and Almaty Chamber of Commerce.

Liang Liming, Vice Governor of Zhejiang province, Wu Guiying, Chairman of CCPIT, Zhejiang Provincial Committee, Erlan Muratovich Aukenov, Vice Mayor of Almaty attended the symposium and delivered speeches. More than 300 industrial and business representatives from China and Kazakhstan participated in the event.
In recent years, with the implementation of Kazakhstan’s industrialization policies, new innovative projects are being materialized and innovative technologies emerging, which quickly advances Kazakhstan’s ranking on Global Innovation Index. Kazakhstan attaches great importance to innovations in the economic fields, and has placed great expectations on e-commerce in promoting economic development. During the symposium, Cross-Border E-Commerce business JUMORE, as a representative company of e-commerce, signed a MoU with Kazakh Endogenous Cluster Fund (Almaty Hi-Tech Innovation Park). And at the same time, JUMORE, Almaty Municipal Government, and KACF also jointly signed a three-party MoU.

Almaty is the largest city in Kazakhstan and the central Asia region and the financial center of Central Asia. It has great importance in the politics, economy, and culture of Central Asia. As an active practitioner of the Belt and Road Initiative, JUMORE is accelerating its cooperation with Kazakhstan. Recently, JUMORE AIFC Pavilion was officially launched, signaling that the two parties are jointly encouraging the development and construction of international financial center. In addition, JUMORE also had discussions with Kazakhstan on cooperation in investment, bilateral and multilateral trade, logistics, and upgrading and transformation of industries. Signing of the agreement signals that cooperation between JUMORE and Kazakhstan has entered a new stage featuring more fields and higher level. JUMORE will take full advantage of the characteristics of e-commerce and the advantage of E4B system to help Kazakhstan and other Belt & Road countries connect with Chinese and global markets, introduce advanced development ideas and high-end finance, logistics, and technology services around the world, and thus realize innovative growth of economy.
As estimated by insiders, the development of Chinese cross-border e-commerce will be one of the engines driving the development of Chinese economy in the coming years. While in JUMORE’s view, the development of Chinese cross-border e-commerce is also the engine for global economic development. The emergence of cross-border e-commerce enables upstream and downstream companies in the industry chain to effectively reduce their operational costs, integrate global resources with high efficiency, and connect with the great opportunities of the global market.
