Chengdu, the capital of China's Sichuan Province, is the country’s western center of logistics, commerce, finance, science and technology.
Chengdu Tianfu International Airport is the largest airport on the Silk Road Economic Belt in China. The outside design resembles four “sacred birds” fluttering their wings on a land with a history of more than 3,000 years. The birds take off, symbolizing the opening of a new gateway to Europe and Asia-Pacific countries.
With three runways, the terminal building and corresponding supporting facilities of 710,000 square meters, the airport can achieve an annual passenger throughput of 60 million and cargo and mail throughput of 1.3 million tons.
As the sanitary ware supplier for Tianfu Airport, JOMOO assisted the project with all-category products, provided one-stop installation guidance and maintenance & inspection services for the airport auxiliary buildings, and offered “smart” designs for the washrooms, achieving widely acclaimed results inside and outside the industry.
A landmark of Sichuan Province
Chengdu, a national historic and cultural city, is the starting point of the Southern Silk Road to Southern and Southeast Asia. Chengdu Tianfu International Airport is planned to have four terminal buildings in total, resembling four divine birds carrying the sun as the exterior shape, which corresponds with the symbol of Chengdu city—the Divine Sun Bird (Chinese: 太阳神). In addition, the interior airport design features local cultural sites and landmarks, so called “Twelve Airport Sceneries” , such as Mount Qingcheng and Jiuzhaigou, showing the unique regional culture of Sichuan Province.

Chengdu Tianfu International Airport is the largest civil transport airport planned and constructed during the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-20). As the largest international airport in southwest China, it witnessed the construction of two terminals at the same time, setting very high requirements on the products, services and engineering for the project.
