As a professional jazz piano and keyboard artist, Zhu Mang has a wealth of performance experience. He lives in Shanghai and he is frequently active in the creation and performance of various musical styles. His talent has been recognized and praised by many jazz masters, and has the opportunity to share the stage with many famous international artists, such as the Swedish jazz trombone and singer Nils Landgren、the young American jazz Alto saxophonist Alex Han.

In 2017, Zhu Mang went to the Netherlands to study for a master's degree in jazz at the Prince Claus Conservatoire , which gave him a deeper understanding of jazz improvisation and creation, and be praised by Don Braden, Joris Teepe, Gene Jackson, Freddie Bryant, JD. Walter and other famous jazz masters. During this time, he also went to New York as a short-term visiting scholar for a half-year jazz study, with the opportunity to be guided by famous jazz pianists such as Kevin Hays, John Escreet, and Taylor Eigsti. In June 2019, he received a master's degree in jazz music from the Prince Claus Conservatoire in the Netherlands.

Reny Bao is a post-90s jazz saxophone player. He was admitted to the Department of Modern Instrumental Music and Percussion of Shanghai Conservatory of Music to learn jazz music from Professor Zhang Xiaolu, Professor Liao Jiwen, jazz trumpet player Li Xiaochuan and other experts in 2010. In 2018, he graduated from New York Queens College Aaron Copland School Of Music, where he learned jazz saxophone playing, jazz composition and arrangement from Antonio Hart, Tim Armacost, David Berkman, Danis Machreal and other musicians. He has been active on the stage of major jazz festivals at home and abroad.

Yusuf is a self-taught singer, without any professional music training in any conservatory or music college, he discovers himself in the music world all by himself. Being able to listen to and get reference from all kinds of music styles in an open and humble attitude, he is interested and very good at utilizing elements of R&B, Jazz, Pop… Although music market nowadays considers singer's powerfulness as a priority, he insists on finding a way of performing that makes “ears breathe freely”.

J Town combines 3 multi instrumentalists, gathered under the wing of mother Music with the purpose to heal. Mutual respect and listening abilities are the base on which these 3 musicians build. Spontaneously born boutique music will be tailored in front of the audiences, with freedom confidence and love.

Al Gordon (Big Al G) – Drummer born in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Berklee College of Music’s Bachelor of Professional Studies. Toured Asia with the incredible Grammy nominated B-3 organist “Bill Heid”. Performed in London with Asia’s number one guitarist Eugene Pao. Toured Asia with New York based virtuoso guitarist Dave Allen.

Studied and performed widely in San Diego and San Francisco. Recorded several albums with Jack “Jive” Shaefer, appeared at both the Concord and Sacramento Jazz Festivals. New York City studied with Eddie Gladden & Mike Clark. Performed with Junior Cook, Jerry Weldon, Bobby Forrester, Ralph Lalama, Rob Bargad, Ed Howard, Ugonna Ukegwo, and Bruce Barth, at various venues in the New York Area. Performed at the Hartford Jazz Festival. Organized “Music on the Green” series for Fishers Island New York shows such as Peter on the Wolf with full Orchestra, Shawnn Montiero, Samba Do Brasil and Harold Danko trio.

Asia at Shanghai JZ Club, CJW, Park 97, Wooden Box, Peace Hotel, House of Blues and Jazz, and both the Ritz Carlton and Waldorf Astoria hotels with Eric Wyatt, JQ. Whitcomb, Brian Hurley, Victor Noriega, Toby Mac, Sean Higgins, Sonya Hensley, Alec Haavick, Sugar Mama, Mandy Gaines and Alice Day. Hong Kong at Island Shangri-La, Four Seasons, Dada Lounge, Peel Fresco, Gecko, Grappa’s, Vibe, Fringe Club, Backstage with Ted Lo, Eugene Pao, Chris Polanco, Bob Mocarsky, Paulo Levy, Skip Moy, Peter Scherr, Charlie Huntley, and Jezrael Lucero. Appeared on the RBHK TV show with Ben Pelletier. "Broadway Pit Drummer" for HK Arts Theatre productions of " Thoroughly Modern Millie " and " The Music Man".

Tom Peng NewGrass Band delivers heartfelt bluegrass music to JZ Shanghai. Their lineup of instruments and singers will present authentic American folk music to Shanghai audiences. The complex interplay of the fiddle and guitar, ringing sound of the banjo, blazing mandolin runs, and the high lonesome vocal harmonies recalls emotions from small country towns half a world away. NewGrass Band plays music that is exciting, plaintive, heartwarming, and most of all… Human.

Ekram’s musical upbringing made his deep love for music. He traveled to Shanghai and Spain, absorbing multicultural music. Singing is his dream, even if how rugged his musical road is, his love and hope for music will never burst.

Drummer Wu Zhenbang was admitted to the High School Affiliated to Shanghai Conservatory of Music with the highest score of his major in 2011. He studied under the teachers Yang Ruwen, Luo Tianqi and Gao Hua, and performed with the Shanghai Conservatory of Music High School Percussion Band at the Shanghai Concert Hall, Oriental Art Center and Poly Theatre for many concerts during his studies at the High School. In 2017, he was admitted to Shanghai Conservatory of Music as the student of Pop Percussion with the highest score of his major under the tutelage of Chu Weiming and Chris Trzcinski. He also shared the stage with many jazz performers, such as Li Xiaochuan, Zhu Haiming, Huang Jianyi, Zhang Xiongguan, Reny Bao, Xiao Jun, Edmar Colon, David Gilmour, Gordon Goodwin, etc.
