Albariño is a high quality white wine grape indigneous to the Iberian Peninsula; primarily grown in the northwest of Spain (Gallicia) and Portugal. It receives cooling breezes from the Atlantic Ocean which makes it a fresh, fruity aromatic wine with high acidity (= great for palate cleansing) and a hint of salinity. If you love seafood, chances are high you will fall in love with this white wine too!

The Wines
PATAS ARRIBA ALBARIÑO
A dry and crisp wine, with tropical and citrus flavors. Made with 10-20 year old vines from Pazo Pondal in the Rías Baixas wine region (Spain). Grapes harvested by hand, cold maceration and controlled fermentation at 16-17 degrees celsius. Aged 6 months in Stainless Steel tank.

PAZO PONDAL ALBARIÑO
Complexity on the nose where floral notes and aromatic herbs appear, elegant touches of white fruit and light citrussy touches. Subtle spicy notes combined with an interesting minerality suggests elegance and character.

Food Pairing
Albariño is an excellent aperitif and works marvelously well alongside light to medium intensity foods such as seafood, white meat, white cheeses and smoked paprika.
Serve it cold, but don’t be afraid to let the wine to warm up! As Albariño increases in temperature, it changes dramatically from more minerally, beeswax, and citrus flavors to those with richer apricot, pear, and apple-like notes

Marinated White Anchovies in Sunflower Oil
The anchovy is an oily fish and an emblematic ingredient on the Mediterranean Diet. The fishes are meticulously selected, optimally matured in vinegar and then hand packed into sunflower oil. Anchovies are packed with umami, the savory "fifth taste", which adds depth to dishes.
Despite their size, these little fish provide big health benefits. Anchovies are rich in Omega 3 fatty acid, which contributes in lowering cholesterol levels and improving heart health. Omega 3 also has anti-inflammatory properties.

The award winning octopus from A Pulpeira is steamed in its own liquid which enhances the taste of the octopus and at the same time stores all its proteins, vitamins and mineral salts in the form of juice.
This is a ready-to-eat product; slice and drizzle some olive oil and sprinkle spices like sea salt flakes and smoked paprika. Suitable for grilling or sear it on high heat, it will add a smoky flavor to it.
Octopus has high content of Omega-3 fatty acids that helps to lower the chances of stroke and heart attack. It promotes the cardiovascular health and stimulates cognitive health. It has low content of saturated fat, which assists in losing weight.

This cheese was first made by a farmer’s wife in the late 18th century in Normandy, France using raw cow’s milk. Today it is made and produced all over the world and is one of the most well-known French cheeses. This typical French cheese has a creamy centre with a harder rind. Grand’Or camembert uses 100% Dutch cow’s milk so this is a Dutch take on the French classic.
